Basically, last Friday, a Chinese company tried to truck 520 dogs to be used as meat in restaurants. Luckily these dogs were saved. (By absolutely amazing ‘take-action’ activists. Just totally inspiring people. I can’t thank them enough for giving me hope.)

THESE dogs were saved. - We kill 56 billion animals a year for food.

56 BILLION.

This story is not upsetting because the victims were dogs. This story is upsetting because there were victims. These poor living creatures were beaten and literally starving to death.

I don’t understand how people could do this. I don’t understand how, after seeing all of these beautiful heartbreaking faces, you could eat another animal. Another being going through exactly what these dogs are going through.

This story makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. It’s times like these I feel totally useless. I would give anything to have been there helping save those dogs. Better yet, I would give my life to save a truck full of animals who didn’t get a second chance like these dogs…

It’s time to change the world we live in, because this is NOT okay.
